- How do your products represent social groups or issues?
In my film and throughout making it, our product did challenge conventions. Our product is a film that shows that sometimes silence isn’t always good. Many films actually go along with this subject so it doesn't challenge the normal way coming of age films are made about dark subjects such as loneliness like this. I wanted the product to go along with the usual scheme of how the mind of an adolescent went when they are in a depressed state of mind. Making the product seem more superior and raw than the others and make it attract customers without revealing too much about the character and where they had gone. While it doesn't challenge the usual dealings of a coming of age film, it is to be viewed for emotional attachment and can be viewed by all people ages 13 and up. For me, the film was practical but also had a new view of how life is for teenagers at this age with much dialogue and characters. I created a raw film that could be watched by any social group as it has a very neutral setting as it deals with what most people go through emotionally at least once in their lives. It was full of weird energy as I filmed what I think is human nature. Its known purpose is to make people want to be kind of informed with how life feels like, especially now. Nothing about is challenging to conventions. It was more of a recreation but put in a simpler way.
- How do the elements of your production work together to create a sense of ‘branding’?
Study on different media brands has contributed to the creation of mine. In order to make the brand visible, I have retained the same color scheme throughout my development. The color scheme of my website is black, white, gray and light blue. The photographs I used on the website are all in black and white, keeping to the theme that emphasizes and establishes the identity of my film. Similarly, on my website and poster, I used the same color scheme for the movie. I wanted to make my music video black and white, giving my film a recognizable and clear brand. Because all the production work consists of black and white, the viewer can attribute this to my artist, building a brand name for my film. The color scheme is the most evident and the key element that generates a sense of branding. I chose black and white to give this dreary atmosphere of film to my film, along with keeping it new. The brand identity of my artist has been developed through all the pieces of media that I have created. In order to recognize the brand value of the film, I studied the genre and what I was looking for in the film and told it about my own work. To make sure the brand is visible in my tour poster, I used the same colors: black, white, gray and light blue. And are the same colors as those on my website. I have used the same font on my poster that I used on the digipak, as well as the promotions that can be seen on the website of the film. To make sure my film sticks out on the poster, and the crowd is enamored in a way.
- How do your products engage with the audience?
My products engage with the audience in many ways. In the beginning of the film, appealing language usage was spoken to the audience. There are also multiple social media platforms for the audience to interact with the film. The audience was targeted with questions to make them feel like they were being talked to directly. One of the goals of this film is to make the audience feel engaged and attracted to the film. We also targeted the audience by making them feel connected to issues in the film like the feeling of isolation. The commercial has a silent and an eerie, soothing atmosphere to it so it should mostly be viewed by young adults and those older. I feel as though this gives an attraction to the product along with the attraction of the actual product. We want the audience to feel a part of the commercial. I tried to create an atmosphere that is relating to them and I also answered questions and made predictable assumptions. The reason for this is to get the messages across that depression can happen in silence. I also showed the film in a normal looking home that looks no different to any other to show that it really can be shown anywhere.actually is like and how appealing it looks to the eye. I show the viewers how appetizing it is and how comfortable I am around the product.
- How did your research inform your products and the way they use or challenge conventions?
My project deals with what I feel is a social issue of depression and loneliness. The film is mainly me feeling constrained in a house that makes me feel isolated. When I try to go outside I become scared. Due to my fear, the ending scene is me on the floor in a puddle of blood. I didn’t have a big storyline, as I wanted the film to have a sense of creativity to be engaged with the audience. The film was made to be a form of awareness and kind of make the audience feel stifled by it. There are some hidden clues and some things that the audience can talk about together after the film. My goal was to represent meaning to depression and also bring more awareness through my product. Although I didn't really alter my film much from the original way that a coming of age is done, the film should be successful enough to get its main point across.

Changes to Social Media
My social media platforms have been empty because I do not know exactly how to give sell my product which in this case is my movie. I have been messing around on canva to see what my movie cover theme should. Social media could help my movie as it provides all of us with a way to communicate with others. We will help and feel encouraged by other individuals. Getting a platform to demonstrate creativity and technical savvy. Increased self-confidence by encouraging introverts to share their emotions. So it could display my movie in multiple lights as I respect others criticism.
Social networking is an integral part of the campaign for company promotion. Social media help you communicate with your clients, improve your brand recognition, and increase your leads and sales. To market my movie like a business, I have to be smart and creative with how I promote my film. Millions of people use social media sites there. For your business, it is a fantastic opportunity to meet a wide pool of people who are involved in your goods or services.Gaining a big audience would especially be good with platforms such as twitter and youtube for generation Z viewers I am hoping to seek out. A major value of social media is the opportunity to meet wide crowds. It opens the door to find more leads for your company who want your goods or services.

Re-Editing
I had my movie edited and it was really simple. Once again, I put all of the raw footage on my monitor. As there wasn't so much live footage that had to be edited, it went easily. Trimming and breaking the film into many sections was easy. To make it easier to bring together with the film that was already finished, I split the movie. I believe I put it together pretty well. Tomorrow, because I have to finish my other tasks, I'm going to edit all of the sound.
For now, when I finished editing the movie, that gave me a feeling of accomplishment. In a short and easy way, I corrected the errors in my film. I will show it to my family when I'm finished, so I can do another examination. School is online because of the pandemic and I would like to hear another opinion. The perfect alternative to review at this point of life is my family. I have easy access to computers at home, so the pandemic did not really have a significant effect on my filmmaking process. In case anything happens with my film, I'm also saving all the film to my email to backup all the details.

Re-Filming
To add improved lighting and make it aesthetically more appealing, I re-filled my blog. Re-filming was really easy, as I did it on a day when all of I was able to film in peace. Re-filming was fun and simple. Every scene was completed very quickly, as we shot the scenes more than once when we did the first shooting days. I couldn't even get into the lighting. In the beginning, I wanted the area to look cold. In the end, there was enough illumination in the space to get into the mood and view comparison. Without revealing too many in the scenes, you can see the characters clearly enough. There wasn't anything to re-shoot because when I first shot the film, it mainly went as I wanted.
It will mean once again checking it. When I am editing, I can add more things to help the scenes stand out a little more. I might make the movie look like it was in a retro or modern world. When doing media research, I want to do things in a similar way in the entertainment industry. During this time, I have watched a number of films and television shows. I find myself trying to delve deeper into the script as I observe the material and find out why the director and/or producers chose the film to be made in that way. Each movie is unique, and since it is my first one, I just want mine to at least get the basics down.

Editing Flim
All right, I'm editing my movie now. Now that I had a smooth filming process last week, it was definitely a bit simpler to edit. All the scenes must now be in the right order so no errors can be made. I'm grateful I've done this myself and I've gone on with a feeling of success. I could edit the film absolutely in a really fine 4/5-minute duration. I assume I could be more smooth in the transitions. Any chops have to be corrected in the film. It also had to clear any needless tone. There was no major mistake that I feel would have an effect on the film. I hope it was right for me to choose my video.
In AICE Media Studies I really want to be. While I won't pursue film, it provided me with a way to produce my sense of imagination. Everything I've edited I was able to save. It can help at all times make the required improvements. I noticed I had 3 hours of raw film as I scanned at the film. For this footage I will create various scenarios so that I can maintain it as my backup and analysis. I have backed up all of the files on my machine to make it happen. I'll just see if everything's anything like my film scripts and storyboards.

Filming Blog
I had filmed my movie and it seemed to be be really good. It was very quick and easy since I was alone. I did look at the storyboard a lot to give my film a better effect. It made the filming process more accurate which was really beneficial. The only problem was that it was very new recording on my phone. It was very simple to film but I will have a second day of filming to make sure that we corrected any errors made. Any mistakes would make it difficult to edit.

Change to Actors and Actresses
There has been a change of plans with the actors and actresses due to the pandemic. My family members who were supposed to play a part can no longer do it. After thinking and Hard, I decided to do it myself. I am willing to play both girls and do it successfully. It is my film and I should take responsibility and be all parts since I decided to take on this project by myself. If I am able to edit correctly, I will be able to put the illusion of two people so I have been looking up videos that show these editing skills. If i am able to put a safe distance between the two characters and convey the two characters in different ways, then there will no problem.
The reason why my other family members that I picked weren't able to help is because one of them have gotten sick recently during the time of filming and because you need to self quarantine. She did not want to risk people close too her. My cousin who was also supposed to film has a very weak immune system so the pandemic is very harmful to her. To keep those I care about safe, I decided last minute to do it alone. I have a very strong immune system and I havent been around anyone lately so I am low risk. Also my neighborhood is very quiet and no one really goes outside, there is open opportunity to do it at home. There are may lakes surrounded my home so it is very convenient.

Website and Film Changes
I have been thinking of adding more to my website and including a synopsis for my film. I was hard to think about the process of it all. A synopsis is important as it helps to verbalize the paper concept and makes it more precise at the same time. This is an instrument to think about the paper's theme and argument. It makes you organize your paper and arrange it. I decided my synopsis to be "A strange encounter between two young girls becomes a life changing event for one". I decided this as it goes along with the concept I have for the movie which makes everything very captivating to and will make the audience a little intrigued. It would would make the audience want to know more an even go ahead to watch the short film. Also I would be using my phone camera to film the movie so that would be hard to an extent.
I have installed a new film edition software to make it simpler and more professional to edit my movies. I'm not sad to have made this film because it gave me time to do what I wanted and how I could finish it. Although the time-limits look short, I hope I can end by the due date. It might be a poor option to make improvements to my film, but I just wanted to give my best. For the movie I began shooting, I thought it would be a detailed movie. I'll even edit like I do for dates in the days I'm filming. The illumination and other adjustments were in the angles and motions of the camera.
But all in all after I make a few more changes, I think I will be able to film successfully.

Thanksgiving Break
Over Thanksgiving break, I did not begin to film. I tried to prepare by making sure everything I needed was available like tripod, settings, and camera adaptability. Mostly after that, I decided to be with my family more as I have not been able to see them as much due to Covid hanging over our heads. I felt that it was time to relax and and give myself a break. My family is very spread out and a family gathering of the sorts was needed to talk face to face with safety and know how everyone was doing. Also since it is my last year in high school, I was doing a lot of self discovery for the future. Thanksgiving spirit is that of family, friends, compassion, inclusion, thankfulness and, ultimately, fabulous food. Holidays are a favorite for many people. They are not based on toys or lavish decorations – they are a nice time relaxing with friends and relatives for a tasty dinner. We did prepare for the holidays by putting up the Christmas tree and stockings. We decorated around the house and made it very wholesome. Since I could not be friends this year, we decided to video chat, especially with those who are residing very very far.
Officials of public health alert America about the risks of transit and reunion as a pandemic of coronavirus rages. Thanksgiving Day, retailers globally lock their doors and family and friends finish what they will share together (perhaps virtually).Everyone was safe and healthy which was great. A lot is going on this year from pandemics, elections, protesting. I just hope everyone the best. Going on cdc.gov was very helpful to know what to do in the gathering and how to make sure everyone is safe. Also, just because it is Thanksgiving does not mean there isn't a pandemic. Also, I feel that thanksgiving is a learning experience for my siblings and what really happened so after watching Charlie Brown, I go on the History channel and show them the Thanksgiving special they have each year. Its better to know now than later.

Social Media Platform
For my movie, I had to create a social media platform. I started off by creating a Gmail account so everything could be linked to one source which would be easier. I would be able to get all the information I need through it. the name is themommentfilm@gmail.com. The double m was necessary as I did not wat to change the whole thing as themomentfilm@gmail.com was unavailable for usage. After that I made my Instagram which was hard as I had multiple accounts saved for various reasons so I decided to link the filming platform onto my main account to make it easier to access by me. The I set it as a perfectional account as it was supposed to be shown as a social platform. After that, I created my Facebook Group page under my main Facebook account to make it easier as well too trace. I moved on to create the Twitter account which was fairly easy as well.
When I finished creating it, it asked my to follow certain content and I chose film and entertainment to make it seem a little on brand and stereotypical. And then with the google account, I made an YouTube channel and gave the channel the film name. After all this, I made a WIX website. I linked the website to the google account too. Making the website was weird. I had to first think of what concept or theme I wanted the website to insight about the film. I made the theme to be modern looking for now as it could change in the future. The reason why I thought modern suited it for now was because coming of age and teen drama mean to be learning more about the world and growing into a mature being with more realization. I also linked all the social media platforms onto the WIX website to make everything easier. I will most likely start creating a limbo between the platforms.

Music selections
For the music for my film, I decided to use platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube. With these platforms, the music selection can be completely up to me with or without the artist, although I am most likely going to email them if it could not be used. I am not trying to get any mainstream type of music onto the soundtrack for the film. With these platforms, I am able to select music in a wider reach such as lo-fi music. Also, I will make ways to tamper with the music to make it sound better with my film if needed. The creation of video is about a story and the atmosphere and what is best than with music. But it is best to use music that is not copyrighted if you can find any.
The music picked will profoundly affect the way the emotion is communicated. It is also intimate, and it will make your edits simpler for you to find music that suits your style. I'll know instinctively when you hit the right track. I will note the color scheme, the scenario matches and the mood matches. Give it a serious and committed effort to find the right music for the film. If the song is to express detailed details, pick a background music without several adjustments and it does not grab the viewer's eye. It's going to be a song of encouragement. If on the contrary, it express large and in-depth ideas, search for a form of music that takes more emotions to the fore. Deciding on which type of music to use such as vocal, instrumental, slow, or fast is really based on whether it will convey the film honestly.

Storyboard for Short Film
It was really fun and quick to create this storyboard. All I really had to do was to apply to the storyboard what I put together with the script. It took me about an hour to finish because I did this project alone. I had to match the designs with the house facilities under which I worked. It looked like the idea was finished by an blueprint. I had reservations at first about timing, but instead I had the chance to position them as thumbnails so that the timing was better. I don't know any of these movements are as though they are needed, plans are going to change. I hope the filming process won't be hard. I think that will add more parts as an intermission. I feel like it needs more detail.
It will be somewhat difficult to edit the mistakes being made in the dialogue. I'm thinking about enhancing the sound in the film so these sound could be heard better in a way. The changes were the lighting and some if the camera angles and movements. I was to give the film a better interaction with the the audience and to give a better build of suspense. I didn't want the film to look too fake and sugar-coated. I also have to think more of the film as I feel that I have to make many more adjustments in the future before I begin filming. I am doing all parts of this film myself, if my aunt and cousin aren't able to do it during this time. This storyboard is not final but just a draft to me for the future. It is very interesting to see for far it will come.

Planning for Short Film
My short film planning would likely go like this:
I am planning to film as soon as I am able to check out a camera at school in which I don't know when exactly but I hope to be able to film either this month (November) during the Thanksgiving Break or next month (December). I don't really have any days scheduled to film as my calendar has been all over the place. After I get all the filming done, I will start editing the next day most likely. The location will actually be in my neighborhood. Since my neighborhood is kinda secluded and surrounded by trees, lakes and gazebos, I thought that it would be the perfect place to film as its very cinematic. The participants are going to be my family members. One will be my aunt who looks younger than her actual age and the other will be my cousin who is close to my age. I have actually filmed with my aunt before so that should be easy, but my cousin will be entirely new. I chose to have family as I felt that they were more reliable. If the participants are not able to perform, I would be the designated understudy.
There would likely be no problems that would inflict health concerns. I took extra precautions with the location and environment due to coronavirus. The location is actually in my neighborhood and is very secluded so there would be no overwhelming of any kind because of other people. Me and my family members who are participating have continuously been up to date with testing, news, and our own individual health. I also make sure to contact them to be sure of any updates. The only prop is that in the end, Charlotte will have a newspaper wit the death of Anna on it. There will be no coordinated costumes. The only things is that there will be a neutral color scheme to give contrast to the environment and mood.

9 Movie Vs 9 Short Film
The movies are the same when it comes the amazing concept and theme but there were many noticeable differences. They way they portrayed the characters were the same as the characters look alike, but simple enough to tell apart, not least because their numbers are stitched on their backs. The film is beautifully animated, with beautiful textures and plenty of dynamic character animation. Their burlap bodies have a burlap feel. There's stitching all over. The copper eyes and hands gaze softly at the coin. It's lovely.
Yeah, nine of them all look the same, but you never run the risk of not being able to tell any of them apart because of a number of very slight distinctions. They have distinct visual features, too. However the characters have voices and dialogue with the extended version rather than the short film. They all have distinctive voice actors which is very interesting. Especially the female, #7 , when the animation has the stitch puppet. The imagery also seemed to be clear and updated than the short film.
The extended version added more descriptions and background than with the short film. With the short film, you had to try to understand what was going on to make sense of the whole situation, especially at the end. The plot does not include an endgame unlike the extended version. The extended version might be kind of bleak as it is including way more stuff that seems to be a average apocalyptic story line, but it does have elements of adventure and commitment. Many may criticize it to be a generic plot.
The short film seems to have a video game feel to it through the animation while the extended version seems brighter in character and suspense, carrying a feel of movement more. This is probably because the directors, Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov produced the film, adding their own dark twists to the production and introducing some action scenes with the works of Acker's animation. Although I sometimes just want the storyline. The in and outs of the action scenes have made me even more interested in the works of the movie and production.
9 Short Film
It was a wonderful imaginative production, full of gorgeous scenery and monsters as eerie as they were original. It's pretty incredible what Acker was doing in just 9 minutes of storytelling. 9 starred a lonely, wide-eyed character living in a post-apocalyptic world without saying a line of dialogue.
The plot itself just couldn't seem to have determined what its endgame really was. It was impossible to work out or anticipate whether the film was going to be finished and what the point of the film was, before it was abruptly finished. The makers of the "9" committed themselves completely to the creation of the creatures and the world in which they existed, regardless of the storyline or story involving it, or to remind us that we should even care about the little puppets.
Concluding with so many concerns and loose ends, and sticking to a boring , repetitive plot structure.I was inspired by the themes in the film, aside from courage, seeing the desire to stand up and fight for what's right. Indeed, the fact that the rag dolls have souls is the main feature of the story. There's even an element to launching them.
No language or sex, even though violence is extremely realistic. Some of the creatures chasing the puppets appear like child dreams come to life, and the overall sound and atmosphere is grim, ominous, and outright eerie. This movie stays totally away from pornography and profanity, and it's just sort of a nightmare-inducing like "Coraline".
There's a feeling of adventure in an exciting chase sequence about halfway through the picture, but there's also a visceral fear. I can't find an entry that corresponds, digging through our own archive. And yet the film is not merely a cut-scene of a horror video game. The more I think about it, the more it strikes me that 9 is really a special combination in terms of its sound. The wide-eyed and attractive character style of our rag-dolls is very innocent.
9 Film Anaylsis
When watching the movie, I was mesmerized by the whole production. The first pictures are so amazing to look at. Thick fingers make the final stitches in a loosely humanoid little rag doll in close-up, and there are added binocular eyes. This creature comes to life, stands on bent legs, and journeys fearfully into a bombed-out city's destruction.
The film is brilliantly animated, with amazing textures and plenty of dynamics in terms of character design. Their burlap bodies are of a burlap texture. There's sewing everywhere. The copper eyes and hands have the bland look of the coin. It's beautiful. Yeah, nine of them all look alike, but you never run the risk of not being able to tell either of them apart because of a variety of very subtle distinctions. Creations walk the delicate line between appearing as if they were made by one guy and being distinct enough not to be interchangeable. They're very lovely to see.
Because of the small scale of the stitchpunks, everything looks strange and monstrous to them, making the foreboding universe in which they exist even more ominous and dangerous. In reality, the whole film is pretty bleak. Very dark, very devastated in a way.
The dark landscape is contrasted with juvenile satire. One sock-puppet puts a magnet on his head, which acts either as a drug or as a masturbatory act — a film that is not explicit. For an animated film that chose to separate its audience with a PG-13 rating, the themes never appear implicitly adult; rather, only the atmosphere includes gritty content that may be too graphic for younger audiences, whilst these characters and their simplicity of dialog are well attuned to the interest of the kid. If it weren't for a corpse here and there, the children would be the main population.
The first figure, dubbed "9," he encounters his predecessors # 1 through # 8, and they find themselves in the fight against a Transformer-like red-eyed creature called the Beast. Nine is the youngest, possibly the brightest, and definitely the most adventurous, prompting others to poke around the ruins, against # 1 's wishes.
Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov produced the film, perhaps adding their own dark twists to the production and introducing some needless action scenes here and there (there are a lot of them). The animation of Acker remains the only good note of the film. His approach is visually impressive, both in his ability to make socks articulate in terms of their structure and the feeling he brings to his film's tangible animated setting. If only his story spent more time creating characters that were as compelling as his animation, he would have entered the realm of an animation master. Alas, he 's going to have to go back to the drawing board, or the machine as it was.

Genre Choice for Film
For the film I would pick the genre of Drama with a taste of Coming-of -Age. I want this movie to be raw and free spirited. My short film is one that that relies on the emotional and relational development of realistic characters. I want it to heighten the mood of the audience. Drama is a very general genre. I made Coming-of-Age my subgenre to give it more of a specific hold of what I am aiming for. The audience are able to experience what other characters are feeling and identify with someone. such movies could also be therapeutic by showing how characters cope with their problems, challenges, or issues, and to the extent the viewer can identify with the characters with his or her own world.
I inspired to pick drama because my movie will be somewhat controversial and drama seems to be a better way to guide the viewed through a raw film. I want to show emotions that are realistic and scary for most. I do feel like I need to tweak my pitch. I need to come from a unique and interesting angle so my work can be different and more successful than others. I can't be too specific and leave room for options if there is any changes that would need to be done along the way. I need to do more research on the topic of suicide which would be hard subject. I would also need to personalize it so it can meet the demands of the settings, locations and characters; Most of all, I need to fully be content with it to make an intriguing script.
