Editing Blog for Music Video

Editing was very simple. At edited on my computer with my partner. Nothing unexpected happened. As I already dumped the footage on my computer all I had to do was put them in order and trim the footage that didn't belong. There was footage of the comera moving a bit too much so I trim the into separate pieces. There I was no big issues that I found with the editing as now all I have to do is add my partners film. After I add my partners film, the music will be the right length of time. I put small opening in the project so I would be able to know where to input her footage. This will the film be able to connect more. A little bit more editing is needed to make everything look more clean and in order.

Putting the song into the video was the hardest part of the project. The music wouldn't stay on my computer through the internet. I had to find a way to download the music onto my computer. After going through many sites do find a mp3 download of the song, there was a problem with the audio. I had to go in the settings of my computer to rest my audio to be able to play the song. The song delays the song for 5 seconds on the beginning which actually worked with our film. I also had to mute the audio on the raw footage so the music could go over it. In the beginning the music started to glitch over the film. Since this was happening, I went through the process of downloading the song again. After downloading the song again, I tried to see if it would still glitch. I relieve to know that the film was going smoothly with the film after that.

There weren't any huge problems I have to take care of as everything was in order. No pedestrian got into the film. Everything was done with the permission of those in the film. While the theme that I was aiming for went from family fun to just fun and adventure. Since there wasn't much of that scenario happening. The film is still very appealing visually as it gives a fresh and innocent energy to it. The film does have scenes of both people and landscapes put in a montage way. I wasnt able to do the parallel screening like I wanted. And there are many jump cuts throughout the film.

Filming Blog for Music Video

For the music video, I mainly filmed location and and myself. There was not any major problems during the filming process. I filmed roads, dinners, and the night. I could not film those I wanted at this time due to inconvenience of bystanders. If I am able to, I will film some last minute footage to edit and enter the music video. Since I had footage of other events that could match up with my music video, I decided to use them. It would make the audience have better insight. And my partner footage will be combined to make the music video more of an montage. This will make the the film have a better reaction from the viewers than just having them uninterested. If there is anything to be changed, it will be figured out during out editing sessions.

I tried to learn how to position and angle at a P.O.V. It was really good for my first time although the camera kept wobbling. While I was filming, the footage taken seemed to be very good. There I took videos of the streets as I was in the car. We could use them during jump cuts and cross-cutting moments. Most of my footage was taken with me behind the camera. There will most likely be no footage of me in the film. Most of the film is with handheld and pan shots. I also wish to use a fade out and fade in for the music video as I'm editing. I also tried to do a dolly zoom but it didn't come out as I thought is would as it didn't really give the illusion of moving away from the scene. I did do a tracking shot that could be put into the film but I did it by being inside a moving car.

It was very satisfying filming some of the footage needed for the music video. Now that I have finished most of my filming, it's easier to start the process of dumping everything into my computer. And if someone who I did not have permission to be in the film, I will drop them out. If that is not possible then I will blurr their faces or call them if I have their information. If they give me permission to continue on, only then will they be added to the film. All that is mostly missing is the parts with my partner. When my partner and I have everything ready to dump, I will be easier than before as we now know the correct way to save and keep all our footage. After various editing procedures, the film will most likely be completed if no errors occur.
