Planning: Changing my Film

I decided to change my pitch to something that combines my pitch 2 and 3. In this pitch which will become my film, the twins won't be in it. My new pitch will be that a woman comes home with her family members. The family youngers will be young children. One of the young adults decide to go outside for a little bit. After a bit of time, there's no sign of the young adult so the young woman goes outside only to see that the young adult is not around. Looking around, the woman sees a note on/near the the door the says, "The Game Begins". This will lead to close up of the woman face in terror. With this change, I'll also change the scripts, storyboard and location along with other additional things that will need to be changed. These will be be on my 2-3 follow up blogs.
I will still film on Saturday and Sunday as planned but will probably have everything blogged by Monday, even the editing. I installed a new movie editing program so I will be able to edit my films easier and professionally. I don't regret doing this film myself as it gave me time to process what I really wanted to do and how I will be able to finish. Although the deadline seems tight, I  believe I will be able to finish by the due date. Creating changes in my film might be a bad decision but I just really wanted to be able to give my best. With the film I was gonna film in the beginning, I felt that it want going to be a comprehensive film. In the days that I will be filming, I will also edit as I ho along with the dates. The changes were the lighting and some if the camera angles and movements. I was to give the film a better interaction with the the audience and to give a better build of suspense. I also checked out the camera and tripod to get an early start on filming. I also hope to check it out during the weekend for additional filming.

Planning Blog: Preparations

I started making the final preparations of the the film. I have confirmed the days of filmed with my actors. This was to make sure that my actor had the availability to be in my film so I won't have to reschedule since we also couldn't film Sunday. I have made plans to film durning the week instead. I have also finish making the changes for my film. Now I need to put the update into other blogs. These were last minute changes that I had made to the storyboard to give the film a better look towards the viewers. After the changes, I think I will be comfortable with how I film in the future for this movie. I have  no regrets with adding changes project. I hope these changes can be a really good for the film. I wanted the film to be anticipating and thrilling instead of ordinary.

I hope the filming process won't be  hard. It will be somewhat difficult to edit the mistakes being made in the dialogue. I have never edited non-diagetic sound to gave a better performance ability in the film. I'm thinking about enhancing the sound in the film so these sound could be heard better in a way. The changes were the lighting and some if the camera angles and movements. I was to give the film a better interaction with the the audience and to give a better build of suspense. The editing process could become more difficult with the changes that I want to put in the film. There also many camera angles and movements that would need to be compatible with every shot. I am just going to go over the storyboard and all the scripts just to be safe.

Planning: Preparing and Changes

For my film, I have decided to change so.e things as I go along with the film. I am considering changing the location and how many characters there will be in the film. I didn't film on the past weekend due to my main actor not being able to participate on that day. This made me push back the filming by a week which is very aggravating since I am doing this project myself. I also have to consider the children, my twin cousins, and whether or not they will be able to day their lines on camera. I hope the filming process won't be so hard as it will be somewhat difficult to edit the mistakes being made in the dialogue. The editing process could become more difficult with the changes that I want to put in the film. There also many camera angles and movements that would need to be compatible with every shot. I also need to know whether or not my film would actually be good so I am having my family members go over the film with me so i could make any needed changes before the peer review.
Preparing for the film was very complex but also knowing. Since my first choice for my filming was my aunt house, it was easy to organize my thoughts. I knew how the beginning of the film would turn out bit I was really concerned about the ending. I wanted the ending to be anticipating and thrilling instead of ordinary. I thought of switching out the ending of scene 4 to create a scene of murder instead of suspense. These thoughts have also been keeping me from filming. I want to create a film I would be comfortable with how I filmed. I want no regrets with this project. I hope these changes can be a really good for the film. I also need to put the schedule between my main actor and I to work as we need to be on the same page if we want this film to be completed. I am going to start filming on this incoming Sunday. I have also decided that I will probably act in this film.

Storyboard

Creating this storyboard was very interesting and easy. All I really had to do was add what I had put for the shooting and sound scripts together to finish the storyboard. Since I am doing this project alone, it only took me about an hour to finish up. I had to align the drawings to the infrastructure of the house I was doing it in. It felt like it was a 4 page blueprint to completing the project. At first I had doubts about the timing but I had figure to put them as thumbnails instead so the timing could have a better lead. I dont know that all these movements will stay as if need, the plans will change. Maybe I will add another location due to time constraints. I could also add more vehicle tracking shots. My storyboard is below:

Planning: Location, Participants, Schedule, Health, and Title Details

I have put most of the information of my film into multiple slides. The location will mostly be in one place, my aunt's house. There will mostly be no health concerns. There will be only two participants at most as there are only two characters in the first two minutes. The scheduling isn't really situated in case anything really changes. The title fits the film and I picked out how the title will look at the most.

Planning: Sound Script

Making my sound script was relatively easy. I knew what sounds that I wanted in the film. Most of the beginning is going to have non-diagetic sound as the protagonist, Emma makes her way onto the screen. I want to have eerie music as a sound bridge in the beginning that will slowly dissipate as the movie comes along. I wanted the dialogue to show feelings and continue to show that my film is a thriller. There was no big problem with creating the scripts and I thought that it was relatively converging genres. The sound will be a bake to bring out the title sequence as they appear on screen along with the way the film will be shot.

Planning: Shooting Script

For my shooting blog, I had to think of ways to make the thoughts for my film to come to life. The film had to make sense with its angles and what is happening. For my film I chose to have it in a haunted home that has a new owner. I will add a few tracking shots to put forth with the way the camera will be following Emma throughout the house and when she first enter the scene. The way the twins will be shown will depend on whether the costumes will stay the same. I really wanted my film to have the same scenery affect as the giver but also input some lower doses of psychological approaches. There will be many action matches throughout the film but I real like the shooting script will be revised to make it have an easier layout.
