Musical Genre Project
Back in September, my classmates and I researched genres. We were assigned the musical genre. As you can see below, we created a Musical Genre PowerPoint Presentation. The first slide is our title page with the group members I worked with. The next slide defines musicals, a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. Then, the common types of lighting, such as Spotlights, PAR lights, and Strip lights. Next slide is the common camera angles and shots, Tracking shots, Overhead shots, and Long sequence shots. Following this slide is the common movements, sonata form to a rollicking finale. Then, the common Mis En Scene for musical genres. The next slide are the common elements of musicals including, Timbre, Pitch, and Texture. After that, the different examples of musicals like "Heather's: The Musical". Then, the characteristics of common sounds such as Pitch, Loudness, and Wave forms. The second to last slide is our positive opinions of musicals. The last slide is our opinions of the negative elements to musicals.
