Filming Blog

When we started filming our blog, it wasnt as difficult as we though it would be. The only problem that we had is that we didn't bring our product which was the Dunkin' Donuts donuts and coffee. Gaby and I then decided to just do the voiceovers. The voiceovers were great as Gaby had a persuasive tone when she convince the unknown audience to eat at Dunkin Donuts. Since we were I  a public area with other students there was noise happening in our surrounding area. Because of that Gaby decided that she would raise the sound of her voice. This helped so her voice could be pointed out so when we edited, the voiceover could be taken out and edited easily. After filming we listen and of there was not a word that was not noticeably said, we would record it once more. Some of the places where we were filming was very quiet there was not a big problem with sound quality. We hope that these efforts would make editing easier.

When we tried figuring out the lighting for the clips that we were going to have inbetween the showcasing of the product. There were many close ups and full shots when we were filming but we decided that we would edit them so they will look like different angles and shots. There is much more to film as there will be different camera angles for viewing the product. We also decided to change filming locations as other students were filming by the building 5 stairs. We noticed that building 17 had better lighting be the stairs and the bus loop also had a great view. And we also used the pathway of building 17 to the bus loop so we could shoot some shots while walking to show a more approachable scene. All these places had great lighting.

In the end, Gaby and I finished filming the first segment of our commercial relatively early. There were no big problems that was happening that lead us in a disasterous state. We decided that we will film with the product this upcoming Monday as out teacher said that we would be able to film the rest of our commercial for the first 30 minutes of class. We would make the product look more noticeable with the spotlights. There was a change of location due to lighting but that was a great decision as all the videos looked clean. While filming, Gaby and I had fun trying new things and there was nothing that went wrong. We filmed with the same energy we needed in our complete commercial so there was only positive and lighthearted energy. We hope that with the product there will not be any incidences.
